Jameel McKanstry was a senior when I arrived at Florida State University in 2009. He helped to connect me within the college of music and introduced me to the director that took me on my first international tour. Years later, Jameel is the Director of A&R for Music Unlimited Entertainment. I was beyond excited to be called on to record drums on what may very well become the next Christmas standard. The team at Music Unlimited Ent. gave me the freedom to create a groove for the reference and it was the old school feel that resonated with me for this song. I could already hear the potential of this being a classic and I wanted to present something that added to that identity.
