WHO WE ARE—RELEASES ON 8/22/25

Who We Are is the upcoming album from Gerald Law II. Pre-sale begins on July 25, 2025

ABOUT THE ALBUM

WHO WE ARE

As Gerald sat to find the concept and approach of the album in late 2020, the thought of empathy and connection rose to the forefront. The COVID-19 lockdown made it so that there was nowhere to hide from the harsh realities we faced in America. The killings of people like George Floyd and Breonna Taylor were met with questions and comments about their pasts, in an effort to present justifications for their deaths. It took the families of these individuals to speak out and tell their stories; they were someone’s son, daughter, sister, brother, family—and that was it. The concept became clear. This project would be about Who We Are.

I AM HUMAN —STREAMING NOW.

“I Am Human” is the second single from Gerald’s upcoming album, Who We Are.

ABOUT THE SINGLE

I AM HUMAN

We are all connected. At our core, regardless of the many things that make us different, we are all human. With each passing voice, the feeling of this message deepens. The intro of "I Am Human" is a collection of voices to represent that vast spectrum of humanity. These voices are underscored with strings, and then release into a sextet to continue the main theme of the song.

ABOUT THE SINGLE

VOICES

“Voices” is the lead single from Gerald’s upcoming album, Who We Are. The idea for this song came during talks of a short film he was participating in at the time (2022). The theme was written to represent a folky, Native-American sound. Daniel Kelley-Howard's approach to the guitar breathed life into the motif as it permeates throughout the song.
