Last week I had the opportunity to participate in Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame week. This year was really special not only because it was their 10th year recognizing the accomplishments of distinguished alumni, but the university also celebrated its 40th year of existence!
It seems like I laid down for a quick nap and when I opened my eyes, G3 was three months old. I always heard that time really flies once your have kids… it is no joke, AT ALL. There are things that we’re excited to see our little man do but in the same breath, we want things to slow down!
Happy two months to our little man, G3! Having a child has been my most fulfilling accomplishment to date. Looking this guy in his eyes, seeing myself in his mannerisms, it’s a joy that only a parent could know. Now, although Yohanna and I have only physically had one child, my parental responsibilities started to take shape back in November 2017.
Frustration solved! As I have been getting my recording space ready, I wanted to get more channel inputs for recording. While you can record a drum kit with 8 channels, having the option for 16 instead really opens up the possibilities.
There are so many activities that we bounce back and forth between while growing up. We develop skills and move on to each new thing in our quest to find ourselves. What’s cool about it all is rediscovering skills and figuring out how they can be beneficial to your current season in life or even just plain out fun.
Happy New Year! I entered into 2019 with quite the strut. My wife and I have some awesome plans and projects in the works and *drumrolls* WE’RE EXPECTING OUR FIRST CHILD! Our son is due on January 31 and we’re super excited!
